Jama is installed on an application server. Jama connects to a database which must be on a separate database server. You drive the installation from your work station (desktop/laptop).

Data is stored in data folders on the application server and on the database server.

The installation on the application server is a two-phase process. First the Admin Console is installed, which provides web pages to configure and install the components that make up Jama. Second is the installation of Jama itself.
