If using a proxy server, you must install Docker and configure the no_proxy variable before running through the following steps. See our Supported Software for information on what versions of Docker are supported.

Before installing or upgrading the Admin Console, read the Admin Notes section in the Release Notes for the Jama version you are using. Jama may recommend a unique cURL command for each release. The Admin Console is used to install and update Jama. During installation, the application server must have access to the Internet, including the Replicated listed domains. If your security requirements do not permit this, you should consider airgap installation as an alternative.

1.Connect to the command shell of the application server using SSH
2.Use the appropriate command as root user to download and install the Admin Console. To determine which command to use check the Admin Notes section in the Release Notes for the Jama version you are using.
If you prefer to download and install a specific version of the Admin Console execute the following command:

curl -sSL "<REPLICATED_VERSION>&replicated_ui_tag=<REPLICATED_UI_VERSION>&replicated_operator_tag=<REPLICATED_OPERATOR_VERSION>" | sudo bash -s no-auto

where you must replace the values <REPLICATED_VERSION>, <REPLICATED_UI_VERSION> and <REPLICATED_OPERATOR_VERSION> with the values for your desired version of Jama.
The Supported Software page in the Community will specify what versions were used during regression testing of the version of Jama you want to install.

The no-auto option is used only to make sure that questions during the installation do not time out.
If running the cURL command results in the following message, the Admin Console will need to be installed manually.

Either your platform is not easily detectable, is not supported by this

installer script, or does not yet have a package for Replicated.

Please visit the following URL for more detailed installation instructions:

3.Walk through the installation prompts. All questions are asked at the beginning so that you can then leave the installation unattended.
a.Please choose one of the following network interfaces:

[0] eth0

[1] eth1

[2] docker0

Enter desired number (0-2):

Enter the number of the network used to access Jama. This will be the same network used to access the Admin Console and the Jama application.

Note: Complex network designs will vary. You may have fewer or more interfaces listed.

b.Does this machine require a proxy to access the Internet? (y/N)

If you are using a proxy, answer y.

4.Wait for the installation to complete. You will see the following line once installation has completed.

==> default: To continue the installation, visit the following URL in your browser: https://<your_ip_address>:8800

5.Take note of the URL of the Admin Console that is given, as it will be needed later.

Note: The Admin Console is compatible with Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
