If you have an existing Jama 8 installation that you want to migrate to different hardware (physical or virtual), use the following process to migrate the Jama installation:

1.Log into Jama as root user. Enable maintenance mode.
2.Take a snapshot of the system.
3.Migrate the /data directory (and all of its contents) from the old server to the new server, preserving the structure and permissions of the contents.
4.Move the snapshot from the old server to the new server.
5.Restore the snapshot on the new server.
6.If the IP address of the two servers are different, please  follow the steps in Changing the IP Address of your application server.

Note: Because the snapshot contains the license, this isn't a viable option for creating a test instance.
