A moderator can initiate a review of a particular item or set of items, invite participants, participate in the review, modify a review in progress, update moderators, edit an item to incorporate feedback, finish and close a review and trigger a review status workflow. The creator of a review is its moderator by default.
A moderator can add and remove moderators by selecting Update moderators in the Actions drop-down or from the Update moderators icon under the Actions column in the table view. Moderators can add or remove moderators in the Update moderators pop-up window.
Note: Moderators can be added to a review regardless of their access rights to the items within the review. However, when a moderator publishes a new revision for the review, only items for which they have write access will be in the new version of the review. For reviews sent from filters, this can result in a few scenarios that may not be intended by the moderator publishing a revised review:
|•||Missing items in the new revision: This happens when a moderator who uses a filter to publish a revision has write access to fewer items than the person who published the last version.|
|•||Extra items in the new revision: This happens when a moderator who uses a filter to publish a revision has write access to more items than the person who published the last version.|
