Jama environments may need to be restored from a production backup. Native backup solutions generally backup the database plus the /data/ directory on the Jama application server. To restore a Jama environment with these backups, follow the instructions below.

.In the Admin Console, ensure Jama is stopped.
.Replace the /data directory with the production backup of this directory.
.In /data directory, delete the following directories (they will be restored on restart): tenant, ActiveMQData, elasticsearch.
.Restore the database with production backup.
.In the Admin Console under Settings > Database Settings, ensure Jama is pointing to the restored production database (this may be the same or different database depending on how you restored it)
.Save the settings and start Jama application.
.Log in as Root user.
.If the environment URL has changed, use Change URL to update the base URL to reference the new environment URL.
.As Root user, go to the Index Tab and reindex the application.
