Relationships are used to link related items together – what is known as traceability. By creating relationships between items, Jama allows you to easily assess the impact a change to one item can have on other items. This feature will help you manage change effectively and keep your team in sync during development.

When you create relationships, you can then analyze the impact a change will have on other items both directly and indirectly. Using Impact Analysis you can see the entire picture of all items affected whether directly or several steps removed.

Relationships can be either upstream or downstream from an item.

Note: You can relate items within the same project or across multiple projects if needed.

See Coverage and Traceability for more information on how to analyze relationships.
