Add components

A component is a structural container used to organize a project into more manageable pieces. 

To add a component:

  1. Right-click on the project name in the Explorer Tree wherever you want to add a component or sub-component.


    You can also select Add > Component at the top of the left panel in the project where you want to add the component.  

  2. In the Add item window, select a name and description for the component.

    (Optional) Select Notify to select users or groups you want to notify about the creation of this component.

  3. Select Save, Save and close, or Add another if you want to add more components.

  4. If you used the Add button, use the Select location window to select the location for the new component. Invalid locations are disabled.

  5. Click Select and close.
