Enable Jama Connect Advisor

Before users can run analysis on a requirements statement, the organization admin must configure item types, then enable Jama Connect Advisor.


You must configure an item type before enabling Jama Connect Advisor, or it won't work.

To enable Jama Connect Advisor:

  1. From the Jama Connect header, select Admin > Organization > Item Types.


    1. Select System Requirements, select a row that includes Rich Text, then select the pencil icon to edit it.

    2. In the Edit field window, complete the fields and select options as needed, then select Jama Connect Advisor and click Save.

  2. From the Jama Connect header, select Admin > Organization > Jama Connect Advisor.

  3. Under INCOSE Rules Need and Requirements Statements, select Enable INCOSE Advisor. By default, all rules are selected. You can leave all selected or deselect only the ones you don't need.

  4. Under EARS settings, select Enable EARS Advisor.

  5. Click Save settings.

Jama Connect Advisor is now visible in the application. Once item types are configured to work with Jama Connect Advisor, it is ready for users.
