How baseline sources work

Sources contain all the baselines for a specific group of items. They are automatically created when a baseline for a new group of items is added.

When a source is generated, the default name of the source reflects the set, component, filter, or folder where the baselined items originated. New baselines are added to an existing source if one exists. Otherwise, a new source is created and added to the top of the tree.

If multiple items were selected when adding a baseline, the source is named "Individual items." Also, in the case of individual items, sources aren't reused, a new source is always created.

You can't manually add a baseline source. Deleting a baseline source deletes all the baselines it contains.
