Change a set key
You can edit a set key or renumber items in a set at any time.
Organization and Project Admins only
You need organization or project admin permissions for this task.
To change a set key:
Select PROJECTS > Project, select the set you want to modify, then select Change set key.
In the window that opens, enter the new set key (1–16 characters, consisting of only letters, numbers, and underscores).
Choose whether to select Regenerate Item IDs:
Leave Regenerate Item IDs clear to keep existing item IDs unchanged. The set ID changes to the new set key, and new items added to the set use the new key. Numbering depends on whether the key is already used elsewhere in the project. If the key is new to the project, numbering starts at 1.
Select Regenerate Item IDs to update the IDs of all existing items in the set. Numbering depends on whether the key is already used elsewhere in the project. If the key is new to the project, numbering starts at 1.
Select Submit.
