What are INCOSE Rules and EARS Notation?
INCOSE Rules — The International Council for Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is a not-for-profit membership organization founded in 1990. It developed INCOSE Rules for writing requirements in the context of systems engineering, to help developers create and refine well-written requirements.
EARS Notation — The Easy Approach to Requirements Syntax (EARS) is a mechanism that gently constrains the writing of requirements with a recommended syntax (structure) and an underlying ruleset. The EARS patterns provide lightweight, structured guidance that enables authors to write high quality requirements.
